2. Third-Party AI Service Data Sharing
⚠️ Important Notice: This app uses third-party artificial intelligence services to provide core features. When using these features, some of your data will be sent to third-party services for processing. We will obtain your explicit consent before you first use any AI features.

2.2 Data Sent to Third-Party AI Services
Depending on the features you use, the following data may be sent to the above third-party services:
- AI Chat Feature (Google Gemini):
- Your chat message text
- Conversation history (to maintain conversation context)
- Relevant text excerpts from selected books (for book Q&A and content analysis)
- Images you upload (if any)
- System prompts (which do not contain your personal information)
- Speech Recognition (Deepgram / Device Native):
- Your voice recording data
- Language preference settings
- Text-to-Speech (Google Cloud TTS / Deepgram):
- Text content to be read aloud
- Voice and language settings
2.3 Data NOT Sent to Third-Party AI Services

- Your device identifiers
- Your precise location information
- Your contacts or other personal contact information
2.4 Third-Party Data Protection
Our selected third-party AI service providers offer enterprise-grade data protection:
- Google: Data is transmitted via encryption (TLS) and processed in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. Paid Gemini API user data is not used to train AI models.
- Deepgram: Data is transmitted via encryption and processed in accordance with the Deepgram Privacy Policy. Deepgram does not use your audio data to train its models.
2.5 User Consent
Before you first use any AI-related features, the App will display a clear prompt informing you that data will be sent to third-party AI services, and will require your explicit consent before proceeding. You can review or withdraw this consent at any time in the app settings. If you do not agree to data sharing, you can still use the App's book reading features, but AI chat, speech recognition, and text-to-speech features will be unavailable.
3. Purpose of Using Information
We use the information collected to:
- Provide AI chat, book Q&A, content continuation, and other core features;
- Provide speech recognition and text-to-speech services;
- Provide and maintain other app functionalities;
- Improve and personalize user experience;
- Offer customer support;
- Communicate, including sending information about account and app updates.
4. Sharing of Information
Apart from the third-party AI services described above, we do not sell your personal information to any third parties. We may share information with third parties to support the following activities:
- App maintenance and analytics;
- Email and storage services;
- Customer service activities;
- Legal requirements or to respond to legal processes.
In accordance with Google's requirements, our privacy policy clearly states that the Google Workspace API is used solely for providing relevant service functionalities and is not utilized for the development, improvement, or training of general artificial intelligence (AI) and/or machine learning (ML) models.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including:
- All data transmissions use HTTPS/TLS encryption;
- API keys are securely stored on the server side and not embedded in client applications;
- Regular review and updating of security measures.
However, please be aware that no security measures are completely infallible.
6. Data Retention
- Conversation history is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time.
- Data sent to third-party AI services is retained according to each service provider's policies.
- Our servers do not permanently store your conversation content.
7. User Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, correct, and delete your personal information;
- Withdraw consent for data sharing with third-party AI services;
- Delete all locally stored conversation history and cache;
- In some cases, restrict or object to our processing of your information.

8. Content Moderation
- Filtering Objectionable Content: We use automated systems and community reporting to filter objectionable content. Users are encouraged to report any content they find offensive or inappropriate.
- User Reporting Mechanism: Users can flag objectionable content directly within the app. This content will then be reviewed by our moderation team for appropriate action.
- Blocking Abusive Users: Users have the ability to block other users who are behaving abusively. Blocked users will not be able to interact with the user who has blocked them.
9. Children's Privacy
Our app is not targeted at children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
10. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
